After the storm
The storm hit us pretty hard. It was raining non stop for a few days and a lot of tree branches fell across the property. One branch about the thickness of my arm lodged itself into the side of the house leaving a baseball size hole in the vinyl. I ordered a patch kit from Amazon for under $10 and I'm hoping that will help close it up.
The chickens
The chickens finally came out of the coop as their run is a bit drier today. They laid 3 eggs instead of their normal 2. They're currently averaging about 50 grams per eggs. I saw one of them getting ready to lay. She forms a little nest under one of the wooden planks and her butt twitches a lot as she's trying to pass the egg. Its very interesting.
They're all itching to get out and free range again but the property is pretty flooded so they'll have to wait a bit longer.
Late night production issues
We had a production issue at work due to a site reliability event. One of our zones got double the traffic unexpectedly as another zone came down for the event. This caused a late night all hands on deck meeting trying to resolve the issue. In the end I told the site reliability team to postpone their event until we could get the application back in working order. I also requested they let us know ahead of time before they do these kind of events as the application wasn't expecting this kind of traffic.
