The Hobbit
The whole group arrives
Gandalf continues telling their tale while the dwarves keep coming in two by two. The interruptions of the arrivals actually makes Beorn more interested in the story which makes him more accepting of the visitors.
Having dinner
After they all arrive they're invited into the house for some food. Beorn talks to the animals in some language they understand and they start bringing torches, tables, and chairs for the guests.
They all have food listening to Beorn's stories of the dangers that lie in the Mirkwood. They're a bit worried because soon they'll have to cross through there before arriving at their destination.
Singing dwarves
After, the dwarves start telling stories of their own but Beorn is not interested. Bilbo dozes off and is woken up by a door banging and Beorn missing. The dwarves start singing songs into the night.
Atomic Habits
Watching Netflix on a bike
Ronan Byrne connected his stationary bike to his laptop so that it would only play a Netflix show if he was biking at a certain speed. This connected an activity he wanted to, watching a show, with something he needed to do, exercise.
ABC programming
ABC would also bundle relaxing activities like encouraging viewers to drink red wine and eat popcorn on Thursday nights while watching their programming.
Associate reward with activities
We are more likely to do an activity if we also get to do something we enjoy during that time.
We can also stack behaviors we need to do with things we want to do. For example, after you do 10 push-ups you get to watch a funny video.
