I noticed the last few days that I enjoy writing the most when I'm not seeing the words I'm producing appear on the screen as I'm typing them. It helps the prose flow more smoothly. It feels more like a stream of consciousness type of thing and I'm stopped less frequently due to spelling mistakes. I'll keep trying this technique and see how it goes.
