June 3rd 2026 - Red Tide
I ordered seafood from 3 different places last night on Grab and they all canceled the order. One called and said they didn't have seafood and another changed the order to chicken. I made the joke that there's probably a seafood shortage on this island but it turns out there's currently a red tide happening.
A red tide is when The Little Mermaid gets her period and… No wait… A red tide is actually a harmful algal bloom which produces toxic chemicals dangerous to humans and marine life. I think I'll stick to chicken for a while but I'll miss that seafood pancit.
