I went to the immigration office in the Philippines last week to renew my visa and it was pouring. My shirt got soaked and I got a bit worried because the last time I got rained on in the Philippines I got sick. Three days later I woke up with a sore throat and the next day I was fully sick.

Back in the US I had a farm and I would work in the rain all the time during summer without ever getting sick. I learned recently that due to the humid weather and it being rainy season, viruses have a higher chance of survival here so its easier to get sick than other countries with a summer/winter cycle.

I'm trying to stay hydrated and taking bioflu every 6 hours to lessen the symptoms. Hopefully, I get better soon.
